The Silence of the Lamps (W9)

Repost from 26 November 2019

That’s not a typo. As much as I love Jodi Foster’s character in the movie ‘the silence of the lambs’, I want to talk about lamps.

Not just any lamp, but the lamp within.

We all have one. Like a magical Aladdin’s Lamp, only better!

We have found that the Universal substance is “All Health,” “All Substance” and “All Love” and that the mechanism of attachment whereby we can consciously connect with this Infinite supply is in our method of thinking. To think correctly is therefore to enter into the “Secret Place of the Most High.” What shall we think? If we know this we shall have found the proper mechanism of attachment which will relate us to “Whatsoever things we desire.” This mechanism may seem very simple when I give it to you, but read on; you will find that it is in reality the “Master-Key,” the “Alladin’s lamp,” if you please; you will find that it is the foundation, the imperative condition, the absolute law of well-doing, which means, well-being. (Haanel, Master Key 9.4 & 9.5)

Unlike the genies who grant you only three wishes, the “genie” in the inner lamp that we have access to sets NO boundaries on your wishes. None!

It’s not about quantum. – Unlimited!

It’s about quality.

If our predominant mental attitude is one of power, courage, kindliness and sympathy, we shall find that our environment will reflect conditions in correspondence with these thoughts.

Haanel (Master Key System, 9.30)

If you polish your lamp with a dirty cloth, the lamp won’t shine.
Find your very best piece of cloth, woven from the highest quality of threads you can imagine.

Imagine. – Key word!
Visualise your desires. Focus, see it with your mind’s eye.

Every success has been accomplished by persistent concentration upon the object in view.

Haanel (Master Key System, 9.34)

It’s Thanksgiving week in the USA so there won’t be a Master Key webinar on Sunday. Will we miss it? Certainly! Meanwhile, we get to keep doing our exercises that improve our positive mental attitude; to polish our lamps …. in silence.

I Hope You Dance! (W8)

Repost from 12. November 2019.

Here’s what I wrote during my first year in the Master Key Experience, Week 8:

I keep saying that “this is the best week” of the Master Key Experience.

Well, what can I do after Sunday’s webinar but repeat myself? And then… reading Lesson 8 of the Master Key System. Oh, my friggin’ goodness! This IS the best week!

“The law of attraction will certainly and unerringly bring to you the conditions, environment, and experiences in life, corresponding with your habitual, characteristic, predominant mental attitude. Not what you think once in a while (…) BUT your predominant mental attitude is what counts.” (Haanel, 8.18)

Let me repeat that:

Your predominant mental attitude is what counts.

And – you get to choose your own mental attitude, as we have found out by DOING the exercises from the previous weeks of this mental attitude-altering, life-altering course!

Therefore, my dear fellow students, please allow me to present this song as a gift for you. The lyrics are in the video:

I HOPE YOU DANCE!

I really hope you will.
Promise me you will!
‘Cos I know that you always keep your promises.

With Love,
Bibi

Fast Forward to 2020:

Now that I look back at my blog posts from last year, I am reminded of all the positive changes in my own mental attitude -and it happened in just a matter of weeks. Multiple years of therapy in the past had not helped me much (not permanently anyway), but this course made all the difference – and it happened FAST! No wonder I want everyone in the whole world to take this course!

I know that this course, or experience, is different for everyone. What one individual gets out of this course is different from everyone else, our goals are also very different, and whether you reach those goals depends on a few factors: The amount of mental luggage (aka cement) when joining this course is, perhaps, one – our willingness to be brutally honest with ourselves and stop blaming others is certainly another. Having said that – remember that YOU are perfect the way you are at your point in your own journey! Perfectly perfect, perhaps not complete. Be kind to yourself. Love yourself for who you are and where you are right now.

I know that I have a long journey ahead of me still before I truly am, 100 % of the time, the person I intend to become. But I also know that I CAN be that person when I continue to be persistent with a clear ideal as my goal. Without a goal, how else will I know which path to choose when I come to a fork in the road? Every single choice I make is at a fork in the road. Whether it’s a choice in what I think, feel, say, or do – it is nothing more than a choice between one path or the other. I can choose the path that leads to my ideal goal, or I can choose to take a detour down a different path…. It is always a choice.

I do not ALWAYS choose the path that leads to my ideal goal, but I am getting better at it. When my first year at the Master Key Experience ended in March 2020, I kept doing the mental exerises every single day, and I still do, because I know first hand that they WORK. One step at a time, one minor change at a time, the compounding effect will get me where I want to be – and to WHO I want to be.

Why do you think Mark & Davene, who have been teaching this course for a decade, still do the very same exercises they teach their students?

“For when an act becomes easy through constant repetition it becomes a pleasure to perform, and if it is a pleasure to perform it is man’s nature to perform it often. When I perform it often, it becomes a habit and I become its slave and since it is a good habit, this is my will.” (from Scroll I, The Greatest Salesman in the World)

The mental exercises we learn is this course can be compared to building muscles – once you have’em, you can’t stop exercising and expect the muscles to stay strong, let alone expect them to grow…

So I keep going to the gym. The mind gym, that is. It’s not “just exercises” anymore- it’s a way of life. It’s a way of being. Just like ALL habits are, good and bad alike. Choose good habits and the bad ones vanish. It’s that simple. Persistent Practise Prouduces Perfect Presentations.

Love & Forgive (W7)

Repost from 13 November 2019

Here’s what I wrote during my first year with the Master Key Experience, Week 7:

Mental Diet

Can I go 7 days without a negative thought lingering in my mind for more than 7 seconds before I substitute it for an uplifting, excited or any other positive thought? Of course I can! How do I know? Because I’m practising, and we all know that everything becomes easy with practise.

Forgiveness

Practise and love. Forgiveness and faith. I think that reading Scroll II of the Greatest Salesman in the Wold every day will make it easier to forgive. If we find it hard to forgive someone, maybe it’s easier to forgive their Golden Buddha within. When we resent someone for something they did in the past, we keep reliving that moment over and over again. The word ‘resent’ comes from French ressentir (to feel), from Latin re + sentīre (re-feel), so by not forgiving we repeat the feeling and just end up hurting ourselves. Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and hoping the other person will die, when, in fact, resentment is like a cancer in our soul.

When we forgive, it does not mean that whatever someone did was OK. When we forgive, we do not thereby give them permission to do it again, nor do we say that their behaviour didn’t hurt us. It did! Their behaviour was wrong, but we can still forgive the person who did it. Wouldn’t you want the same grace if you did somethig wrong? “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”

You don’t have to tell the person that you forgave them (which is why we can also forgive people who have died), you forgive for your own sake – and when we forgive, we cut the negative chain that has bound us to that person. We set ourselves free. The more we forgive, the more we are forgiven (Emerson’s law of “Give more, get more”).

Autosuggestion

This week I recorded my entire DMP (Definite Major Purpose) in my native language (Norwegian). The song playing in the background is ‘Love is all around’, instrumental version, which I found on Youtube. I played it on my PC while recording my voice on my phone, using a free dictaphone app. Easy-peasy! I started the recording by saying, ‘I greet this day with love in my heart’ and at the end I sang the refrain of the background song – to my past, present and future self, “You know I love you, I always will. My mind’s made up by the way that I feel. There’s no beginning, there’ll be no end, ‘cos on my love you can depend!”  I’ve sung that song a gazillion times before, but never to myself. Holy WOW!!

Keep Walking

Since I can’t walk more than 10-15 meters on a good day, I applied for a parking permit for the disabled a few months ago. I received a letter back this week; application declined. My reaction? Rejoice! Why? Because I’m not going to need it. My goal is to be able to walk by May 2020, and I celebrate as if it has already happened! Just watch this space in the months to come!

Keep walking …

Fast forward to 2020:

By January I could walk 100 meters without crutches, by May 1 kilometre without breaks, and I have since been on a few 4 kilometres hikes – although with a few seconds breaks now and then to rest my legs, but hey – I CAN WALK!! When I saw a specialist on my condition in July, he said that he couldn’t explain how this improvement had happened since the last time he saw me (July 2019) and he added, “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it!”

And I am, ‘cos I always keep my promises.

W6 – I’m in Shape!

Here’s what I wrote for week 6 in my first year through the Master Key Experience:

Jokingly, I have always said, “I’m in shape. Round is a shape!”

But that’s not the kind of shape I’m talking about. I am surrounded by shapes of blue rectangles, red circles, green triangles, and yellow squares – all over the house, in my car, on the outside of my MKE ring binders, yup, all over the place. And I’m lovin’ it!

My darling made the shapes out of wood for me.

After the webinar on Sunday night, I stayed up till the wee morning hours to fill in my two PPNs and two main SMART goals inside the shapes. I also found some photos I wanted to include on my “Movie Poster” aka Dreamboard. It felt great finding those photos, I was living my dream and visualising it. I FELT it!!

After making my Movie Poster, I printed out a few A4 sized ones to keep in my MKE ring binders and hung up a few at strategic places around the house, one is also glued to the back of my written DMP. I printed out a couple of index card sized Movie Poster as well – one is now a bookmark in the Greatest Salesman in the World (so I see it at least 3 x daily), the other one is in my pencil case (where the blue, red, green and yellow markers are), and I’m using a photo of my Movie Poster as the background on my PC screen and mobile phone.

Another thing I loved about this week’s webinar was the part about seeing our future self as our very best friend! YESSSS! Love that! This previous procrastinator NEEDED to hear that!! I’m done expecting my future self to clean up after my present self!

I have changed so much already, compared to where I was when we started 6 weeks ago. If you read my Week 1 blog post, you know that I was not at a good place when I joined this course… but now? Holy macaroni, I’m so exited and happy! I also have an optimism about my future that I have never been even remotely close to having before.

Sure, I still fall now and then – but I get back up! Sometimes I’m worried that there was an assignment or exercise I forgot or that there was something I misunderstood, but I remind myself that it’s all good …. and that a relaxed mind is vital, no, crucial! Take a deep breath … and repeat: PEACE be the journey

Fast forward to 2020:

Every since I heard Davene talk about how she put palmtrees around her and Mark’s flat to bring their DMP to life, I have filled my house with “my DMP in 3D” – such as donkey figurines to remind me of my farm haven for donkeys and other animals, my tea cup has a donkey on it, I’ve bought clothes with donkey prints, I have photos on the wall and fridge of the four donkeys I adopted via The Donkey Sanctuary, and I’ve met several donkeys in person as well, AND – last week I got a donkey tattoo on my arm! 😀 (I already have a tattoo of the compass and shapes on the other).

Yesterday I made a book cover to bring one of my children’s book to life, printed it out and glued it onto a book so it looks real:

I had to make the cover a little taller than my design to fit on the book

Seeing my book cover on an actual book feels fantastic!! I have placed it standing up so I see it when I’m working on my books. I’m illustrating my children’s books with my own drawings, but I won’t show anyone these illustrations until the books are published – the first one before August 2021. For the sake of the “DMP in 3D” book cover, I made it by editing some free cliparts. I love playing with Photoshop like this!

In what ways have YOU brought your DMP to life? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
